Interior Design for a casual Chinese Restaurant.

Once upon a time, this 1940's building on 123 West 6th Street was a café and then abandoned for years after.  Our design for this project embodied an adaptive reuse/mixed use scenario - A vintage clothing retail store on the first floor level and an apartment on the second.  All masonry except for the front façade could be restored.  A small park and meditation area was incorporated adjacent to this building.  In the warm days of Spring, Summer and Fall, there will be food trucks which will occupy a small percentage of the park providing food for visitors.

We designed an addition to this wonderful historic house on Forest Ave.  The addition included a kitchen on the first floor level, leading to an outdoor deck and a master bath on the second. (A collaboration with Pohl Rosa Pohl)

Before & after of

a small bathroom

remodel. The idea

was to make it as

airy and light as

possible. Omitting

the back shower

wall and replacing

it with glass

allowed for natural

light to flood the

space. In addition

the wall mount vanity

allowed for the space

to feel  bigger, lighter

& more airy in its

presentation.
